Smoked Mackeral Bites ๐ŸŸ

As Easter is on its way and I’m sure lots of you are getting together with family and friends so I thought it would be a good time to share a nibble recipe.

I’ve made this loads of times and it’s perfect for a bite whilst everyone enjoys a drink before settling down to dinner ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿน๐Ÿท.

If you have lots of time and energy feel free to make your own croustades, but I never do and also find the ones available in the supermarket are easy and tasty. The ones I use are Rahms and can be bought in Sainsburys and Waitrose for ยฃ2.50 for a packet of 24. 

All you need to do is remove the skin from a packet of smoked Mackeral fillets and flake them into a bowl, add a generous dollop of creme fraiche, a squeeze of half a lemon, and a large teaspoon of horseradish and mix them all together until you get a course pรขtรฉ. Season with cracked black pepper and spoon into your croustades. 

Finally, finely chop a handful of dill and sprinkle over with a few wedges of lemon to serve and you’re ready to go! ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹
